Welcome from the Director

On behalf of Governor Matt Blunt, I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to the website of the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.

The Department consists of approximately 850 employees who are dedicated public servants providing quality customer service to the current and emerging businesses and workers of Missouri. The Department is responsible for administering programs that provide a financial safety net for workers to offset the loss of a job because of injury or layoff, regulate wages for public works and construction projects, promote safe and healthy workplaces, mediate and issue resolutions between certain management and labor groups and enforce Missouri's anti-discriminatory statutes in the areas of housing, employment and public accommodation.

Thank you for visiting our website. If the department can ever be of any assistance to you, please feel free to contact us.

Most sincerely,

Todd Smith
Director
